FAQ
Questions business owners ask us
What exactly does my team record?
Their normal work, filmed from their own point of view with a head mounted camera. No acting or extra tasks. From time to time we may ask for specific jobs, such as mounting sockets, pulling cable, working on distribution boards or installing heat pumps.
Do we need to buy any equipment?
No. Klavax provides the complete recording kit. It works with helmets and standard workwear.
Does recording slow down the work?
No. The camera is hands free and runs in the background. Your team works as usual.
How does my team learn to record properly?
Every partner gets a short onboarding session for the team and feedback on every clip. Most teams get the hang of it within the first few days.
Is there any paperwork?
Very little. Each worker signs a consent form once. For each job site, the customer gives permission using our template.
What about our customers and their homes?
We only record where the customer agrees, and we provide the permission template. Faces, addresses, documents and screens are blurred or removed before footage leaves our pipeline. Any job can be skipped without giving a reason.
Do employees have to take part?
No. Participation is voluntary. Each worker gives written consent and can withdraw at any time. If your company has a works council, we involve it before starting.
Can we see what gets shared?
Yes. You can review footage and request deletion of any clip.
Will the footage be used to evaluate our workers?
No. It is used only to train AI for robots. We never share it with you as a performance tool, and it does not go to your competitors in identifiable form.
How does payment work?
We pay your business per accepted hour of footage, monthly, via bank transfer against invoice. You decide how to share it with your team. Many partners pass a share on to the workers who record.
What counts as an accepted hour?
Footage that is usable for training: hands and work area clearly visible, real work in progress, steady camera, and privacy rules met. Breaks, driving and paperwork don't count. Every month you get a report showing which clips were accepted and, if not, why.
Which trades and countries?
Mainly electrical and HVAC work, including heat pumps, in Germany, Spain and Italy. Other trades are welcome to apply.
Will robots replace us?
The goal is robots that help with repetitive, physically demanding or dangerous parts of the job, and that is many years away. Skilled tradespeople shaping that data now is better than robots learning from people who have never done the work.
